My roommate invited me to go with him on tour of the city.
Then we decided to go "look" at the light house. That meant climbing 400 some odd steps. Here is a view about 1/4 of the way up.

I guess I am out gunned.

Little church that sits next to the Lighthouse.

View out the other side of the Lighthouse.

The group that made the trek up the mountain.

Any way thought you would like to see what we did Sunday.
Went to a sign language meeting in the morning. It was a rather quite affair. :-}
Then off to a sign lang. bible study then to the city for the tour. The river you see is actually a tidal inlet. Correct name? It flows both directions and changes alto height 4 meters. Really nice. all the docks had huge pillars that let them ride the tide.
will send pictures of the SL Group next.

So many things going on. Where to begin?
Yesterday I learned that I will be here till June 14 or so.
Two days ago a plumber who is working with us was called into a meeting. He was told that he had to be in attendance in a conference call with two older men from his home K.H. and two local older men. He came back rather silent. When asked volunteered no answer. On a hunch I said, great now I have to show you double honor. It was true apparently.
Food is still great. I have been busy trying to prepare parts in two languages. Also with a looming days text comment on February first, I am very busy. Look forward to seeing you all in June and will miss all of you for sure.
Will post some pictures of the progress shortly.

Got my first ever Days Text Commentator Assignment Last one of three on Feb 1.
Below is the text that a brother is working on translating. Will do it in spanish, yippiee. :-)
{Gehovah our God is Holy. So he does not place us in circumstances that would weaken our resistance to wrongdoing. We can not blame Gehovah for our sin. Why?
Let us look at the steps leading to sin. A situation may give raise to a wrong desire. Desire is not sin. The caution is this:
If we do not dismiss a wrong desire, 'it becomes fertile,' is nurtured in the heart, and "gives birth to sin." Obviously we need to guard our hearts and resist sinful inclinations. Remember Cain and how a disregarded warning lead to sin. So, then, what if we are beginning to pursue an unscriptural course? Surely we should be grateful if Christian elders try to readjust us so that we do not sin against God. We face similar trials as did the Christians addressed in James. Let us always recognize the source of our trials.}

Below is a pic of a medium sized iguana, its about 4 foot long and about 60 yards is where this picture is taken from. Any nearer and away it goes. There is a larger one but he/she/it is being very stubborn and refusing to let me get close enough for a picture. At 130 yards roughly it runs away. A brother caught two 7 inch iguana's looked to be twins, wish I could of got a picture before he released them.

A little stream now, as soon as it rains this fills with water. Right now its 2in deep, in about three hours when the rain started again it was 1 foot deep, and during a "real" rain, a brother said it is 6 ft deep.

Look closely and you will see two friends :-)

A guard dog for the Bch.

Look closely this is one chevy you will not see it the states.

Hope everyone back home is preparing for the Mem. Season. Here the elders are already starting to build enthusiasm for the campaign. Apparently I am an aux. pio. since the brother stated that the body and MS were all going to aux pioneer. we will see :-)

New BH assignment is now Matthew 22-25
Oh by the way the great thing about being the Last commentator is two people ahead of you can say what you were going to say, leaving you in the situation; Do I say the same thing or try to think of something new? A brother in NY said that he prepares 4 versions for just that problem. However since I no intende espanol, I will play the dump gringo and say what I planned on.
he he. Take care all and know that I think of you all daily. Agape

Went out in service on Sunday, My first spanish presentation was:
Te Gustaria Leer esta revista/tractado, meda la pregunta
Spelling is probably of it is phonetically rendered off of a local brothers presentation.
Place 4 Atalya and 6 tractados.
I promised pics and here they are:
local territory

Open sewer lines, nice.

Low slope side of our territory. Notice road only goes part way

High slope side no cars can get up it. Where the stairs end the trail begins hairpin turns to get the rest of the way up the hill. In some sections a house 25 foot wide is covering terrain that changes 30 foot of elevation, amazing this is a quote "2ndpoorest section of town" yet I would live here, the views are great and the government is contently improving services in the area.

A good quality electrical service, will post some pics of the real funny ones.

I promised pictures of the KiH so here they are:
Notice the Vent blocks at the top:

Inside the dark stripes are the inside of the vent blocks. Plastic chairs, the white cabinet is their literature room. When we get there we open all the windows turn on the fans and smile.

Here is a cieling vent. notice the clear view of the roof above.

Two of our happy brothers.

A smiling brother, they get a kick out of posing for the camera and ask what I do with it. Then they ask why no flash. When I tell them their pics are going back to my congregation they get real happy. But the real point of this pic is to notice the brothers in the back getting busy cleaning. There are 5 brooms and some rags. At about fifteen after we conclude there is a slight race to see who gets the brooms and rags. It was explained to me that they feel that it is a privileged to go up to Jeh's house and clean. It's rather amazing, I have seen one brother who likes to stand close to the closet to get the supplies first. I think I understood that they have had to counsel some about sharing the privilege.

Any way the hall is spotless.
take care

It provides visual and audible alarms and signals to indicate condition of water treatment system. Also provides low water shut off protection to pumps. I had to rework some of the controls to provide remote control capability to pumps and more system configuration options.

Picture of pump starters control wires are in upper raceway lower race way is power.

A system we designed for suspending fans in bedrooms using material available.

A nice complicated mess of pipes

More pipe work

Still raining will talk more later.

Long day today, Started with a wonderful breakfast, Some thing made from banana's and with cocoa and raisins and some other stuff, plus eggs mixed with salsa and scrambled, rolls jelly butter and a bowl of hot cereal made from some type of grain. Anyway. Then went on to a meeting with the regions overseer. I have some pts to share about this meeting, to receive please send an email to mPatterson557 at gmail dot com. Then we went to town, to buy some things for me to wear. Got some stuff then we got a call that my bag had arrived. So we went and ate some cerviche for lunch, shrimp, fish, crab, lobster, boy was it good. Also had some patties made from banana's fried then served with fresh cheese and salsa, very good. These banana's I speak of are more like plantanoes, not sweet but light and starchy. Got my luggage and returned home. Finished out one more room, with conduit. It is so nice to have my stuff. no daily washing. :-) Having the time of my life. It is really fun to work with the brothers and see the effort they make to attend meetings. Only two brothers have cars. Everyone else walks to the meetings and we have 100 in attendance each meeting. even brand new studies. All arrive early and leave late. I was told to greet every person before and after the meetings. I thought wow am I going to stand out. But everyone is doing it. Just a simple hello at times and others more detailed conversations. The KiH is sparkling clean. Tile floors every where. This country has either concrete or tile floors. must be the five months of rain. It started raining at 4:00 PM and didn't stop till 7:30 AM. After 4 months it must turn into a huge mud pit. So I guess thats why I see so little carpet. Two hole Mens and Womens bathrooms. Also a tile stage. I will show you pictures when I can. Nice loving congregation. You can buy a small piece of land here for 10,000 and with a house 40,000. Anyway got to go, mucho trabajo maƱana
Hasta luego.
Lot of work tomorrow
